How to setup Ring Video Doorbell

Then tap on the “setup your device” button.
Step 3: To set up, scan the QR code on the front of the device by centering it with your mobile phone’s camera. After reading the QR, it will move to the next step. This part is optional, if you want, you can skip the scanning process and continue with the installation.
Step 4: Provide a name for your doorbell. So you can distinguish it from different doorbells. The main thing is that you specify the location, you need to specify the location for your doorbell camera to work in full efficiency. This is necessary so that you can take full advantage of the device’s features.
Step 5: You have set it to setup mode by pressing the black button on the front of the video doorbell. During the installation phase, your mobile phone will first be connected to the temporary ring wifi network. There is nothing to worry about, then you can use the device by connecting to your home wifi network. This temporary network is only in the setup phase. If it does not automatically connect to the network, you can connect by selecting Ring wifi from the wifi network list.
Step 6: In this step, we will connect to our own wifi network. For that, the router should be nearby and you should make sure that the wireless network is receiving. Enter your password and say OK. As soon as it connects to the wireless network, the device will want to update its software. When the update starts, the light starts to flash on the device. The update continues until the light is steady. In this process, it is very important that the device is fully charged and not turned off, otherwise the device may break. Another important issue is, do not use the video doorbell during the update. This delays the process.

How to Factory Reset a Ring Video Doorbell

For this, my device must be fully charged. Remove the protective cover of the video doorbell, then press and hold the reset button on the front of the camera for 15 seconds.
